刺繡一直是人類長久以來重要的文化資產，從手工、平車繡，再與高科技結合，已發展成為電腦控制並具有專業領域之產業。透過「在地關懷」、「產業人才培育」及「產業鏈結」等三大方向，落實大學社會責任，帶動學生社會認同，推動城鄉建設的助力，創造產官學三贏契機。
The embroidery has always been an important cultural asset for mankind. From handcrafted and flat machine embroidery to the combination with high technologies, it has developed into a computer-controlled and professional industry. It undertakes social responsibilities of universities, arouses student’s social recognition, promotes the urban-rural construction and benefits industries, officials and academies through local caring, industry talents cultivating and industrial coordination.
計畫簡介：
計畫串聯各界資源，為刺繡產業挹注更多元的資源，開設刺繡工作坊及工藝刺繡學分學程培育產業所需人才，藉由實地訪談臺南刺繡產業，促進在地產業連結，增進學生對在地產業認同感，進而激發在地就業或在地創業的意念。
This plan coordinates the resources from all walks of life to attract more resources for the embroidery industry. Set up embroidery workshops, cultivate the talents for the craft embroidery, interview Tainan embroidery industry, promote the cooperation in the local real estate industry, enhance students’ sense of recognition for the local real estate industry and inspire the local employment or entrepreneurship.

欲解決問題：
臺南府城的文化深度與厚度堪稱全臺之冠，以傳統刺繡代表臺南地區之文化特色，蕾絲產業代表臺灣八Ｏ年代興盛的紡織產業。但隨著產業西進外移、人才短缺、鄰近國家低價競爭等因素，讓傳統刺繡產業與蕾絲產業皆面臨凋零的困境。為此本計畫以提升學子對產業的認同、培育優秀人才，推動產業轉型促進特色刺繡產業繁榮盛況再現為目標。
解決方案：
整合相關資源連結地方產業，於台南地區打造「刺繡新聚落」：
(一) 產業：邀請青創團隊的加入，透過不同產業的激盪，為傳統產業注入新的創意能量。
(二) 官方：詢求中央及地方政府之教育、文化、觀光、經濟等不同部會的協助。
(三) 學術：結合台南應用科技大學不同系科類別（服裝、設計、美術、時尚等）的跨領域結合。
(四) 社區：落實在地化民眾對於產業的認同。
(五) 媒體：新聞、廣告與宣傳。
未來願景：
推動「刺繡新聚落」，解決傳統產業的人口老化並保留文化記憶；培育高端刺繡人才，透過創新、創意樹立新的產業價值；企業與在地的緊密連結，增進青年返鄉意願與就業機會，活絡產業的永續經營與文創發展，帶動台南再創刺繡產業的繁榮盛況。
