本校校務發展計畫已融入大學社會責任之概念，並依推動策略擬定年度重點工作。
醫護照護為本校的重點科別，培育學生具備長期照護的正確理念與關懷素養。亦是各科永續努力的方向。此外，鄰近地區人口分布老人化，年輕人逐漸離鄉背景至都會區工作，社區留存老人的戶數增多，本計畫理念是增進師生落實大學社會責任，跨科整合將學生帶入社區，活化社區，透過師生的專業知識與熱情，讓社區老人能重塑健康的身心機能，活絡社區能量，並提升學生對在地社區的使命感，有助於畢業後選擇在地就業。
The spirit of administration involves in the concept of social responsibility , and the strategy is made with yearly tasks step by step .
Medical departments play main role in the school and each department embrace the goal to educate the students having the professional knowledge and ability in the field of long-term care .
Due to the fact of the increasing ageing population in the neighborhood , as well as the decreasing young generation who leave their hometown , and have work in the foreign cities . The goal of this project is develop the social responsibility of the teachers and students , and combine verity of resources in different medical departments in order to bring students going into the nearby community and devoting themselves into the local community . Through the enthusiasm and professional knowledge of the teachers and students , the mental and physical well-being of the local inhabitants is able to be reshaped , as well as generate the energy of the neighborhood . The students not only have well-training in their curriculum but also have opportunity to serve the community so that students have more chances getting involved in the community , they are able to dedicate themselves into their local area upon graduation .
計畫簡介：
本計畫聚焦在地鄰近社區居民為服務對象，結合本校如護理科、物理治療科、職能治療科、視光科、牙體技術科、口腔衛生學科、資訊管理科、醫學影像暨放射技術科與應用日語科等共9科的專科及專業資源，鏈結區公所、在地社區及長照機構，提供在地社區老人預防失能知識或促進失能者康復。
The project focuses on serving the local inhabitants. Nursing Department , Physical therapy Department, Occupational Therapy Department ,Optometry Department , Dental Department , Oral Hygiene Department , Information Department , Medical Image Department and Applied Japanese Department all contribute all sorts of professional resources and connect with the local nursing care centers in order to provide the citizens knowledge which prevents themselves from being disability and to promote the sense of well-being in the disabilities .

高雄市路竹區、高雄市湖內區、高雄市茄萣區、高雄市橋頭區、高雄市阿蓮區、高雄市永安區
欲解決問題：
本校透過醫事專業強化社區民眾預防保健、醫療與照護等知能，亦涵蓋長期照護與復健之諮詢，讓學生投入社區活動，增進學生對在地的認同感，培育具有專業實作能力又具關懷素養的專業人才，期能引導學生選擇在地就業，解決人口外流之問題。
解決方案：
本校具備醫護照護之科別，同時重視培育學生具備長期照護的正確理念與關懷素養，透過學校與在地社區關懷據點及機構合作互動，運用本校醫護領域資源，教師將結合課程、服務學習與社團，執行「發展居家、社區及機構的長照服務網」、「強化提供多元及創新的長照服務」、「加速長照服務整合、歸人及雲端化的長照資訊系統」及「提升長照服務人力培訓及人力資源建置與整備」4個策略，帶領學生發揮所學，落實在地社區服務，活化社區。
未來願景：
本計畫的短中程目標是讓社區長者提升正確預防保健、醫療與照護觀念，及對食品安全的認識，減少因資訊或觀念錯誤而對導致自身身體受損有所及浪費醫療資源；也讓學生發揮實際所學、習得與老人家相處與溝通、體會對在地社區的使命感，並在畢業後選擇在地就業，其本校充分善盡大學回饋社會之責任角色。
